We have been working very hard to create a homemade upholstery cleaner during the last few years some of which using natural ingredients. And the result is great for most upholstery!

Initially we started using it in the car and we were very impressed with how well it removed stains, and then we gave it on a microfiber couch and found it to be just as effective there!
Open up all your windows if you’re using it indoors, because it smell overpowering when wet, but it dries with no odor other than the essential oil aroma you choose.
To test your fabric for discoloration, we recommend that you to try this in an inconspicuous place before using on a larger area.
Making Your Own Upholstery Cleaner

Below, we’ll give you the recipe to make a homemade upholstery cleaner.
Ingredients and Supplies:
- Spray bottle
- Essential oils (optional)
- White vinegar
- Rubbing alcohol
How to Prepare Recipe:
- You can use equal parts white vinegar and alcohol, and then combine all ingredients in a spray bottle with a fine mist option.
- Choose essential oil you like, add 4-8 drops. Store your cleaner in a glass spray bottle if you’re using citrus oils so they do not eat away at the plastic.
- Lavender and rosemary essential oils are our favorite combo for a fresh clean scent.
Directions for Use:
- Be sure to test in an inconspicuous place before you follow the usage instructions.
- With mixture of homemade upholstery cleaner, spray your fabric surface generously, and allow to sit for 1-2 minutes (do not let it dry).
- Scrub powerfully using a clean towel or sponge, then allow to dry and repeat if needed to remove stubborn stains.
- Once dry, except for the essential oil scents you add, this homemade upholstery cleaner is odorless.
